CSV or PDF
Two formats, for two audiences.
- CSV is the machine-readable one: a row per item, for a spreadsheet or an import.
- PDF is the shareable one: laid out to be read as-is, for anyone who will not open a spreadsheet.
What lands in the file
An export takes the date range and filters you have applied, so the file matches what is on screen. Change the framing before exporting rather than trimming the file afterwards.
Cost centres export separately, so the allocation report comes out as its own file rather than being flattened into the main one.
