Plans and limits
What each plan includes, and what happens at the edges. The comparison table on the pricing page is the authority on price; this explains what the numbers mean.
What Free includes
Free is a real plan, not a trial. Cost reporting is fully included: the Cost Explorer, every breakdown, and cost capture from your sessions. What it does not include is the token-saving compressor, which is the paid product.
Free tracks up to $1,500 of AI spend a month. Past that, reporting is capped rather than your work being stopped.
The monthly allowance
On a paid plan, the allowance is how many tokens Lineman will process for you each month: 100M on Basic, 440M on Pro, uncapped on Enterprise. It pools across seats.
On Pro, going past the allowance is billed as overage rather than cutting you off mid-task. Basic asks you to top up or upgrade instead.
Tracked spend is not your allowance
Two different numbers, and confusing them is the most common misreading of the plans. The allowance is how much work Lineman does for you. Tracked spend is how much of your own AI bill it will report on: $1,500 on Free, $5,000 on Basic, $20,000 on Pro, unlimited on Enterprise.
How far back your data goes
Each plan includes a history window: 14 days on Free, 45 days on Basic, 12 months on Pro, and 6 years on Enterprise. That is what you are entitled to query.
Trials
Basic and Pro both start with a 14-day trial. Enterprise is arranged with us rather than started self-serve.
