Lineman exports spend, savings and token counts as OTLP metrics to Datadog, Grafana Cloud, New Relic, Honeycomb, Coralogix or your own OpenTelemetry Collector, pushing every 15 minutes. Company totals arrive alongside per-developer and per-repository breakdowns, with money reported in USD.
Graph Lineman spend and savings on the same Grafana Cloud or Datadog board as the rest of your engineering telemetry. Lineman publishes the series as lineman.spend and lineman.savings. Grafana Cloud rewrites those names on ingest, so build dashboards there against lineman_spend_USD_total and lineman_savings_USD_total. Cost stops being a separate report someone has to remember to open.
The spend and token series arrive as ordinary OTLP metrics in the backend your monitoring already reads, so alerts stay where your other alerts are. Point a monitor at lineman.spend, or at lineman_spend_USD_total on Grafana Cloud. Lineman sets delta or cumulative temporality from the destination you pick, and refuses a combination the backend cannot store rather than letting it fail quietly on ingest.
lineman.spend.by_developer carries the developer's email as a label. lineman.spend.by_repo splits the same money by repository. Both breakdowns are capped at the 100 highest-spending entries, which keeps a cumulative export from outgrowing the destination's payload limit.
